Nobody has ever tried so hard to be good as The Bad Guys, and failed so miserably.
The New York Times best-selling book series is the inspiration for the new action comedy from DreamWorks Animation, in which a band of animal criminals are set to undertake their most difficult scam yet—becoming model citizens.
Never have there been five friends as infamous as The Bad Guys—dashing pickpocket Mr. Wolf (Academy Award® winner Sam Rockwell, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri), seen-it-all safecracker Mr. Snake (Marc Maron, GLOW), chill master-of-disguise Mr. Shark (Craig Robinson, Hot Tub Time Machine franchise), short-fused “muscle” Mr. Piranha (Anthony Ramos, In the Heights) and sharp-tongued expert hacker Ms. Tarantula (Awkwafina, Crazy Rich Asians), aka “Webs.”
But when, after years of carrying out innumerable heists and holding the record for
The most wanted criminals are eventually apprehended, and Mr. Wolf strikes a deal—which he has no intention of keeping—to keep them all out of jail: Things will turn out well for the bad guys.
The Bad Guys set out to deceive the world into believing they have been changed under the guidance of their mentor Professor Marmalade (Richard Ayoade, Paddington 2), an obnoxious (but charming!) guinea pig. Along the way, though, Mr. Wolf starts to wonder if actually doing good would provide him the acceptance he has always secretly desired. So, can Mr. Wolf convince the rest of the group to turn into… The Good Guys when a new evil threatens the city?
Lilly Singh (Bad Moms), Zazie Beetz (Joker), and Emmy winner Alex Borstein (The Marvellous Mrs.
(The Amazing Mrs. Maisel).
