Nora Ephron directed the 1996 American comedy-fantasy movie Michael. In the movie, John Travolta plays the Archangel Michael, who is brought to Earth to do a number of responsibilities, one of which is to restore some broken hearts. Along with Robert Pastorelli, Andie MacDowell, William Hurt, Bob Hoskins, Joey Lauren Adams, and others play characters who come into contact with Michael.
Randy Newman wrote the music for the film’s original soundtrack. The dance scene and other location shots were taken at Texas’ Gruene Hall as well as the community centre of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Cornhill, Texas, as well as on rural roads close to Walburg, Texas.
